Founder of the International charity fund to help young pianists
In 1994, he became the founder and president of the fund. Who helped and supported the future professional musicians, created conditions for creativity and talent development, arranged tours and concerts of young musicians, supported educational institutions of culture and arts. The first competition of young pianists by Volodymyr Krainev took place in March 1992 in the city of Kharkiv on the initiative of the pedagogical staff of the Kharkiv Special Secondary Music School.

In 2016 to the regulations of the competition was added the nomination «Debut». In this nomination the participants performed the program of one stage.53 young pianists from 4 countries came to participate in the 12 th competition.
